Partners
Heads Up partners with elementary schools, universities, community groups and funders to achieve our mission.
Elementary school partners — The Heads Up program operates in the following elementary schools. Enrollment is open all children from each neighborhood.
- Birney Elementary (Barry Farm, Ward 8)
- Garfield Elementary (Parkland, Ward 8)
- Amidon Elementary (Southwest, Ward 6)
- LaSalle Elementary (Riggs Park, Ward 4)
- Raymond Elementary (Columbia Heights, Ward 4)
University partners — Heads Up recruits college student tutors from local universities. We engage college students in service because they are the ideal tutors and mentors in many ways — they have more flexible schedules and fewer professional commitments, and are often enthusiastic, compassionate and idealistic. Partners include:

- Trinity University
