Our Impact
Goals
Heads Up’s objectives for the students in our program are to:
- Read at or above grade level,
- Engage in school,
- Be inspired early to attend college, and
- Be surrounded by a positive set of peers and young adults.
For our tutors, we aim to achieve:
- Enhanced social skills, including cultural competence, awareness of the effects of poverty and ability to relate effectively to children, and
- Increased commitment to community-service careers and volunteer roles.
